The twenty-ninth edition of Botany News!

Dear readers!

Welcome to Botany News, Thund’s newsletter, where we delve into the fascinating world of plants, nature, and the cultural traditions of Iceland.  We like to share information about the natural beauty of Iceland throughout the seasons, from winter to the warmer months. Whether you have a garden, enjoy green areas, or have a passion for wild vegetation, this newsletter is crafted for you.

Our main theme revolves around the Icelandic flora, with guided tours that highlight the country's unique botanical treasures. These tours include light hiking and nature observation across various landscapes such as the coasts, river banks, wetlands, geothermal areas, grasslands, heaths, and woodlands. Each journey is an opportunity to experience the nature and history of Iceland intimately.

We aim to enhance your knowledge of the Icelandic flora and ignite your interest in all things related to plants, nature, and the country's culture. Come explore wild herbs, grasses, low-growing shrubs, and other natural wonders with us.

Thund now offers botanical tours to discover Iceland's vegetation. The tours are both an educational and an exclusive experience. Usually, the trips involve light to moderate trekking and plant study in wild and semi-wild nature, e.g., on beaches, lava fields, heathland, and protected areas.

The theme of the tours is the astonishing vegetation, unique wildlife, and natural phenomena, as well as the rural culture of Iceland. We explore wetlands, pastures, and flower fields, coastal and montane plant life,  as well as birch and willow woodlands, while allowing adequate time to experience the unique terrain, geology, wildlife, and historical sites.  The tours are suited for most groups and all folks interested in enjoying a gentle introduction to the flora and natural beauty of Iceland.

In addition, we offer other professional services:  Environmental consulting, research, educational courses, and translation services. We are a team of researchers, instructors, guides, and translators.

And last but not least, don't forget to share this newsletter with your friends. By subscribing, you will receive updates related to biology and ecology, eco-friendly and health-related tourism, culture or art, and other green issues.

Happy reading!
